We are planning a trip to Key West this summer and I am at a complete loss as to what is the best area of town. Our interests are being close to the beach ( of course) plus being within walking distance of Duval St.

We found Key West to be the closest thing to the Caribbean without leaving the US. The weather was great (although very hot in August), lots of history, pirate stories,haunted locations,great museums & art galleries, reasonably-priced restaurants,entertainment & of course, great sunsets!
